Awareness Tool for Staffing Agency

The demand for temporary employees have always been steadily rising since the recession, and staffing agencies have also continued to play an increasingly vital role in assisting the jobless American citizens to find employment. According to the recent research by Grabell (2013) it is evident that the number of temporary employees in America on any day jumped to approximately twenty five percent higher in 2010 than it was in 2009. This is estimated at 2.65 million in the third quarter of the year 2010. Just last week, the Labor Department reported that staffing firms are adding approximately twenty five thousand jobs to the American economy for the last twelve months, therefore, staffing agencies are one of the essential drivers in the economy.

However, these staffing agencies must have awareness tools that help them regulate and maintain a good working condition with all stakeholders, especially assisting the thousands of jobless Americans seeking work. I would like to own a staffing agency and I have conducted a thorough research on the current awareness tools that are relevant in my job as a staffing agent and those that will help me manage the business. The website tool that I feel is relevant to me as I am anticipating owning a staffing agent is, the employment law guide, located in website (United States Department of Labor, 2015). This website tool provides the updated information regarding all the rights of the potential employees that my prospective staffing agency must handle. The websites has information that prescribes the standard wages and the overtime pays for the prospective employees. This is located in the Fair Labor Standard Acts (FLSA), and Occupational Safety and Health Acts, OSH that ensure employees are provided safety and healthy working conditions.

Other relevant websites that I will consider when putting up my staffing agency in Florida are State of Employment and Labor, Florida that is found in The other websites that are relevant FindLaw website and also guide. These websitesensure that the temporary employees are accorded their rights and must never be discriminated. They must be compensated according to the workers’ compensation program. All these will assist in ensuring that my prospective staffing agencies work according to the rules and regulations governing the labor department.
